Intel Refined Plans

New details of the future Intel Xeon MP platform have become known. In the second half of 2021, the company intends to introduce a processor codenamed Tulsa, which will be produced at 65 nm. The dual-core processor will receive a cache of the third level increased to 16 MB. Tulsa will be based on the same systems as the Xeon 7000 series processors due to ship towards the end of the year.

Recall that in October this year, Intel supplemented the work schedule on the Xeon MP with the release of the new Caneland platform, previously known as Reidland, in 2021. It will use a quad-core processor codenamed Tigerton. The platform will feature a high-speed interface between the chipset and each of the processors. In addition, Caneland is expected to use FB-DIMM (Fully-Buffered Dual In-Line Memory Module) memory.
