Macintouch.com organizes software for Mac Intel

The inevitable turmoil and software confusion inevitable during the transition period for the new platform (the rapidly growing list of Universal Binary-enabled applications, Intel-only compatible programs, and a vast selection of PowerPC applications requiring the Rosetta translator) tried to streamline the Macintouch.com, which published two lists – one of them included a list of programs written for the PowerPC architecture that are compatible with the “rosette”, the other turned out to be Universal versions and applications focused exclusively on new chips. Of course, both the first and second lists are far from ideal and are not exhaustively complete, however, they still bring a certain element of clarity to the situation.
