Santa Rosa release will be delayed ..

Back in early February, some sources reported that Intel’s new Santa Rosa chipset could debut in March next year, however, according to the Commercial Times, the release of the core logic chipset for notebooks will not take place until the second quarter of this year. It is curious that the codename of the new AMD AM2 processor interface, according to some rumors, also sounds like Santa Rosa – is it really that everything that is somehow connected with a competitor brings misfortune to Intel?? Or is it due to the fact that roses are rather capricious and whimsical flowers?

Delay in market launch of new chipset most likely to hit laptop shipments plans from Taiwanese partners intending to start shipping laptops to Santa Rosa next year.

Intel, however, fend off – the company has never named a specific date for the official announcement of the new chipset, assuring only that its debut will definitely fall on the first half of 2021.
