MOTU Introduces UltraLite, a compact, portable, bus-powered 10 x 14 FireWire audio interface for laptops and desktop Macs or PCs.

UltraLite is lightweight as much as possible, literally and figuratively – the body of the device is made of durable but lightweight aluminum alloy. But there are 10 inputs and 14 outputs, including 2 mic / instrument inputs, + 48V phantom power, front panel gain control, plus a headphone output, plus support for 24 bit 96 kHz.

The rear panel additionally contains 6 balanced TRS inputs and 10 outputs. There is also S / PDIF I / O and MIDI interface. Zero-latency hardware monitoring is done without a computer using an integrated processor, similar to the implementation in MOTU Traveler. Separate mixes can be created to output to different outputs. Flexible configuration and routing options, including talk-back and listen-back functions for communicating with the performer, are available from the bundled CueMix Console utility. When using UltraLite offline without a computer, CueMix functions are controlled directly from the UltraLite front panel.
