Install by unzipping then running as administrator for all drivers. VGA driver isn’t supported by my hardware either, k/Hero X Wifi-AC/ti. I believe VGA doesn’t apply because I’m using an external graphics card and there is no VGA port detected in.

Sharp image sensor measures distances

Sharp has developed a CMOS image sensor that can detect object distance and object shape. These functions are implemented using the so-called Time-of-Flight (TOF) method. The method is based on the reverse recalculation of the distance by the time of passage of light.

In short, the distance measurement procedure is as follows. Radiation pulses of the long-wave infrared part of the spectrum are directed towards the object using an LED located next to the sensor. The sensor receives reflected light. The time of flight is determined from the phase difference between the emitted and reflected light. After that, it is enough to multiply the time of flight by the speed of light to get the distance to the object.

The sensor can also show images where the distance to objects is encoded in their color. Sensor resolution – 320 x 240 pixels, frame rate – 30 frames per second.

At the moment, the product is being prepared for introduction into mass production, with a focus on the use of new items in household appliances, automotive electronics, security systems.
