Another photo of ATI R520 and rumors about X1800
A photo of the ATI R520 chip published some time ago did not stay alone for long. Another snapshot of the new product, which is due to be released at the end of the month, appeared on the HKE PC website.
Interestingly, in the commentary to the photo, in addition to the usual designation of X900, the name “X1800 series” is mentioned in relation to the R520. This name has already flashed on the Web at the beginning of the year, as a designation of the expected promising chip with Shader 3 support.0 and GDDR4 memory operating at frequencies of the order of 750 MHz (1500 MHz effective). ATI is supposed to release two lines of R520-based products: X1800 and X900, one of which will be released in September and the other in October.
