generation, which is designed to protect digital video content.

STB5525
– the first decoder that is a single-chip solution,
supporting the specification of the dual TV output and
dual digital video recorder (Digital Video Recorder).
STB5524 chip ? targets the growing DVR market,
it will also find its use in cable and satellite television systems.

Actually, the SVP specification was developed and proposed by the organization
SVP Alliance,
which collaborates with twenty companies working with different media
and related technologies. It is the alliance that is working to ensure that the technology
SVP is widely used in home networks,

Conceived as a low-cost solution to protect the rights of the digital content owner.
Devices have a SATA interface
for connecting hard drives and DVD burners,
can be connected via USB 2.0 for working with peripherals and
home network. These decoders have a built-in processor (ST231 core)
with a clock frequency of 400 MHz, which was designed specifically for work
with streaming video (MPEG-2 / MPEG-4),
it is the fastest in the ST product line and
belongs to the ST200 VLIW series (Very Long Instruction Word).

Samples of both decoders, STB5525 and STB5524
