Intel: investment of $ 345 million. to expand 200 mm production in the USA

Intel reported that
plans to invest 345 million. dollars in the development of 200-mm factories in
Colorado Springs (Colorado) and Hudson
(Massachusetts). These factories, Fabs 23 and 17
respectively, produce chipsets and flash memory for various
Intel platforms.

The company is actively developing, this can be seen from investments in
subsidiaries, for example in China, and also continues to develop production
inside the country. For example, the company announced its intention to build a 300mm factory, codenamed Fab 32, which should soon appear in Chandler, Arizona. It is here that it is planned to produce 45nm
microprocessors.

The above amount will be distributed across Fabs 23
and 17 in this way:

  • 190 million. at Colorado Springs on
