Xilinx: FPGA-based DDR2 SDRAM interface delivers 667 Mbps bandwidth

Xilinx claims it has created the industry’s fastest DDR2 SDRAM interface based on the Virtex-4 Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The new product provides a throughput of 667 Mbps.
