Two independent channels of synchronous data transfer provide bandwidth up to 320 Mb / s. The product with dimensions 74×149 mm is based on the LSI Logic 53C1030 controller microcircuit. Designers implemented mirroring modes to improve reliability, including boot record mirroring (RAID 1 and RAID 1E). If speed is to be preferred, RAID 0 mode can be selected.

An interesting feature of the controller based on the 53C1030 is the use of LSI Logic Fusion-MPTTM (Message Passing Technology) technology, which can maximally free the central processor from I / O control via SCSI channels. Fusion-MPT, implemented with a thin OS driver, handles 100,000 IOPS and interrupts I / O interrupts, reducing the number of CPU context switches. PCI bus controller interface – 64-bit, frequency – 66 MHz.

The PMC / 320 SC controller supports “wide” and “narrow” Fast SCSI, Ultra SCSI, Ultra2 SCSI, wide Ultra160 SCSI and Ultra320 SCSI. The connection to the first channel is carried out using the 68-pin High Density SCSI connector on the front panel, the second channel is routed to the P4 PMC connector on the back side of the board. The controller is supported in Linux, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows XP, Windows XP Embedded, VxWorks, UnixWare and Solaris.
